Involving Children & Young People:
Examples from across Wales
We know that lots of people across Wales are working to involve children and young people in Communities First, so we contacted all the Communities First Co-ordinators asking them for examples.

A number of enthusiastic people sent in their case studies - thanks!

The case studies below include:

  • A brief description of the project
  • What changed because children and young people were involved
  • Information about the barriers the project faced and how they were overcome
  • Information about the successes of the projects and their advice for others.

There are also some examples of community regeneration work with young people on the Communities First website. Check out Communities First Support Network - Case Studies. The last time we looked there were case studies from Ystradgynlais Youth Project, West Rhyl Communities First, and Fernhill Youth Project.
